Most light bars ask you to pick a side. Clear white throws further and shows more detail, but the moment you hit dust, falling snow, or a wall of fog it reflects straight back at you and you’re driving blind. Amber cuts through all of it, but it’s dimmer, and running amber on a clean highway is a waste of a very good light.
The OnX6 Dual Control Light Bar doesn’t ask. It’s one 50-inch bar with two independently switched sections: amber optics on the outer ends, clear in the middle. Run the clear section for distance on open desert road. Switch to amber when the dust kicks up. Run both together when you want everything you’ve got. It’s the same light bar our customers were previously building out of two separate units, one amber and one clear, mounted side by side , except this is one housing, one wiring run, and one aperture in the rack.
This Light bar is best suitable with our Baja LP: Straight Light Bar Roof Rack
Dual Control means two circuits, so it needs two harnesses, not one. For simple on/off of each section you need two 64-0115 harnesses. If your bar also has the high/low function, that pairing is one 64-0119 and one 64-0115. Harnesses are sold separately by Baja Designs and we’ll add the right pair to your order if you ask.
Free Mounting installation of light bar onto RDC roof rack if purchased via RDC. (Wiring not included)
Built by Baja Designs in San Marcos, California. Sold and installed by Rugged Design Concepts in Hesperia.
