1. your initial inquiry

Every project begins with a conversation. Once we receive your inquiry, we’ll review your desired configurations—roof layout, A/C or fan cutouts, rail options, accessories, lighting preferences, and more. We then prepare a formal estimate tailored to your build.

2. Secure your spot

To ensure your position in our production queue, a 50% deposit is required. This is a non-refundable design and production retainer that allows us to:

1. 1.  Allocate raw materials for your project
   2.  Generate personalized deck plate drawings for laser cutting
   3.  Schedule your build in our production calendar

Once the deposit is received, we begin the fabrication and coordination process. 

3. Lighting, awnings & 3rd-party components 

We proudly offer top-tier components from select vendors like Baja Designs, Fiamma, Switch Pros and more to complement your Rugged Rack. 

Because these are outside purchases from third-party vendors:

• Lighting, Awnings, and other accessories require full payment (100%) at the time of the order. 
• Lighting bought through RDC qualifies for free mounting installation (wiring not included). 
• If you have a preferred vendor that isn’t listed here, we’d love to hear about it. We’ll do everything we can to make it work for your build.
• While most rooftop tents fit our racks, we recommend sharing your tent’s brand and model with us in advance, so we can double-check fitment and guarantee a perfect match.

4. COMPLETION & FINAL PAYMENT

Once your build is complete, we’ll coordinate an installation date at our facility, or arrange shipping to your preferred location. 

Remaining 50% balance is due: 

• The day before shipment is booked. 
• Or Upon Installation, if performed in-house. 

No product will be shipped or installed until final payment is received 

5. LEAD TIME

Current lead times vary depending on your build complexity and seasonal demand. Please refer to your personalized quote for an estimated timeline. We work with a lean production team and prioritize quality above speed.

6. (OPTIONAL) WIRING & ELECTRICAL INTEGRATION

We believe lighting should do more than shine, it should perform. While RDC includes free light mounting for any lights purchased through us, wiring and electrical integration are not included in your rack build.

That said, we are proud to partner with Terra Lux Pros, a highly regarded wiring and electrical specialist known for meticulous, high-performance work on Mercedes Sprinter vans. Their craftsmanship complements our products perfectly, and many of our clients choose to work with them for a seamless install experience.

Important: All wiring services are billed and quoted separately through Terra Lux Pros. You will work directly with their team to receive an estimate, coordinate scheduling, and manage payment.
