Baja Designs is explicit that spot pods are designed to be run alongside driving or wide cornering lights, not on their own. Six spots in a row gives you a bright tunnel and nothing at the edges; the single most common mistake on a first light order, and it’s easy to make when every pod in the set looks identical. So we assign the pattern by position: spot inboard for reach, driving/combo outboard for spread. The set arrives working as a set. SPECIFICATIONS
Clear runs at 5000k; the color of daylight. It throws further, reads sharper on open ground, and is less tiring over a long night drive than a warmer light. It also gives up nothing. A Baja Amber lens costs you roughly 15% of the pod’s output in exchange for cutting through airborne dust. If your driving is mostly highway and graded road, that’s 15% spent on a problem you don’t have.
Lens color gets the attention. Light Pattern is what people actually get wrong.

This light pod set is compatible with our Baja LP: 9 Roof Rack. Every rack ships with universal mounting points as standard, so these can go on with the rack or a year later. You’re not locked in at order. When the Desert Aperture Set is the better buy: If dust, fog or falling snow are part of your year, they are. Clear light hits anything suspended in the air and bounces straight back at you as a wall of glare. The brighter the pod, the worse the wall. Amber’s longer wavelength scatters less and cuts through it.
